Sabatomattina is a picture book written and illustrated by me.

The result of one year’s work at the Migrante Centre of Ivrea on Saturday mornings. The book consists of five sections which include 15 illustrations and related texts that  represent the voice of a child, teacher or volunteer who took part in the project.
Davyd is one of the voices included inside Sabatomattina’s book.
Sabatomattina’s project is a support and rehabilitation program active from 2001 aimed at children of migrants people.
The illustrations are published on n.82-83 of Gli Asini Magazine / Rome, 2020

Handmade printing on canvas, hand signed, timbral and numbered on the back by the artist. All images are printed and signed in-house in Ivrea, Italy.

As a print media I have chosen a high-quality, fine-grain Italian made gallery wrap canvas in 100% natural cotton.

Depending on the size and characteristics of the work, the canvas is securely stapled to a 1.7 cm or 4.5 cm thick wooden mount.

The solid/real wood frames and the mountboards, made either in the Naples region or Tuscany, are assembled by hand so reflecting the Italian art framing tradition and Fine Art requirements. Framed prints are supplied with picture hooks and so are ready to hang.
